Well, it's done. The DVD is now being duplicated and will be in the shops in plenty of time for that weird festival we hold every year.
I sincerely hope people like it, we'd like to say we put in an awful lot of effort and had a master plan all along but that would be bollocks. We just bluffed our way through all manner of cock-ups and stupidity and in the space of 3 years managed to come out the other side with some daft footage and some stories to tell. As usual for us at Heroin the whole production was a comedy of errors and there were times when we wondered if we'd ever get it done (situations involving Louie and Worthington mainly. Mind you, filming with Pizzer is no walk in the park either. And Chopper needs about four hours to think before he can start pushing. And what with Howard being more myth than man. And Fos' music suggestions.....get the idea?)
Anyway, a huge thanks to everyone who helped us film, crash on their sofa/floor/bathtub, drive us around (except Fos - i'll never be grateful for his driving, my hair is greyer because of it) and generally put up with our bullshit as we stumbled around the planet getting in the way of all the proper skateboarders. Thanks especially to Martin Morris and Paul Gonella without whom the premiere or the DVD would never have happened.
The riders themselves did pretty good, even with their obvious handicaps, and hopefully they've been enjoying a few months rest ready for some kind of skateboard jihad in 2006. Fos and I are planning a trip to visit Fiske in Boston and maybe even the Barrier Kult Horde in Canada too.
Keep checking the site after Xmas as there may even be some footage we missed out which could find its way onto here as a download or something. On Monday i'm off to Australia for Xmas and Japan to visit the Daggers for New Year's Eve and beyond.
Enjoy the the shitty weather.
Glassphemy.
