TA DAAAAAAAA!

Well, it's done. The DVD is now being duplicated and will be in the shops in plenty of time for that weird festival we hold every year.

I sincerely hope people like it, we'd like to say we put in an awful lot of effort and had a master plan all along but that would be bollocks. We just bluffed our way through all manner of cock-ups and stupidity and in the space of 3 years managed to come out the other side with some daft footage and some stories to tell. As usual for us at Heroin the whole production was a comedy of errors and there were times when we wondered if we'd ever get it done (situations involving Louie and Worthington mainly. Mind you, filming with Pizzer is no walk in the park either. And Chopper needs about four hours to think before he can start pushing. And what with Howard being more myth than man. And Fos' music suggestions.....get the idea?)

Anyway, a huge thanks to everyone who helped us film, crash on their sofa/floor/bathtub, drive us around (except Fos - i'll never be grateful for his driving, my hair is greyer because of it) and generally put up with our bullshit as we stumbled around the planet getting in the way of all the proper skateboarders. Thanks especially to Martin Morris and Paul Gonella without whom the premiere or the DVD would never have happened.

The riders themselves did pretty good, even with their obvious handicaps, and hopefully they've been enjoying a few months rest ready for some kind of skateboard jihad in 2006. Fos and I are planning a trip to visit Fiske in Boston and maybe even the Barrier Kult Horde in Canada too.

Keep checking the site after Xmas as there may even be some footage we missed out which could find its way onto here as a download or something. On Monday i'm off to Australia for Xmas and Japan to visit the Daggers for New Year's Eve and beyond.

Enjoy the the shitty weather.

Glassphemy.
Oooops!

Sorry! It's been literally weeks since i've updated this. That must mean i've been busy right?

The DVD extras are all but finished and contain all sorts of stupidity for your entertainment. There are actually a SHITLOAD of extras, much more than i anticipated and are making for a great value package (i would say that!). It'll be out in time for Xmas so you should be able to watch it on the Video iPod that you're all getting from Nan this year.

I won't spoil it but you can look forward to lots of extra skateboarding from every member of the team (apart from Fiske who we're planning a promo for next year) along with behind-the-scenes dicking around and some incredible music!

Sorry about the delay, I think it'll be worth it!

S.M.P.

Tonight sees Heroin artist and longtime metal brother French and myself going to see 5 bands - Goat Molestor, Necros Christos, Diabolicum, Behexen and Archgoat (!!!) are all playing together. So that's why the DVD won't be out for another six months....

Sorry everyone. Some things are more important.
Colin Fiske

So, Colin says he's sent us a tape of new footage. It arrives and we open it. Inside is mini-DV cassette that contains some very avant-garde interpretations of skateboarding and a fat kid doing a somersault and landing on his neck. Also in the package are Colin's Red Cross membership card, with details of his adult CPR qualification (required info for a place on the Heroin team), and 7 photographs of blocked toilets, Colin eating junk food and him comparing muscles with some weird yank Pulman lookalike.

I told Fos he'd fit right in.
Surreal times

So Fos, Chopper and I are sitting round watching...wait for it...20 Shot Sequence! I know!

Gino comes on and Chopper says "Famous? Never heard of him!" and says that Clyde Singleton is "beautiful". I look at Fos and we share what can only be described as 'a moment'. Now Chopper is talking about wanking. Again.

Sometime next week I'll get the DVD sorted and you'll have all sorts of daft extras to go with LFA. Right now i have to buy furniture. My flat is very Zen at the moment.
The most fun i've had in ages...

Well, i'm seriously partied out. Last night's premiere was so much fun and Fos and myself want to thank everyone for turning out and cheering our riders on.

Maybe i was just caught up in the moment but i've never seen a premiere at the Prince Charles cinema that was that rowdy! Ha ha! I guess that's what happens when you schedule it for 9.45pm, everyone had more than enough time in the pub beforehand.

Highlight's, for me, included the metalheads in my row shouting "POOF!!" all the way through Louie Jones' part, Fos saying "This one's for Bella" during his speech (see Ed Wood) and one of my boys from the Tuesday Crue running over a car in traffic and bonelessing off the bonnet to the loud cheers of crowds of homosexuals in Old Compton street.

The after party was too packed and hotter than Hades, but fun none the less. Arthur Tubb fell down the stairs! Ha ha! Worthington pulled (surprise surprise) and the hairy ginger guy that worked at the venue STANK!! Like a real barbarian! My only gripe was not being able to get near the bar and buy my friend a drink. She left thirsty i think. Without me. Damn it!

If you didn't make it i believe there are some premieres up north in the next few days. Check the main Heroin site for details. Now, if i don't sleep soon i'm going to die.

2 weeks to go. Tubb's part in progress.

So, yeah, i'm starting to stress a bit i guess.
Been working on the lovely Arthur Tubb's part today. He's a consistent bastard and has some good long lines and a few styley gems in his 15 minutes (that's an expression that refers to a person's brush with fame, originally credited to Andy Warhol - see? You learn things here? It's not all bloody skateboarding - rather than meaning that Arthur has a 15 minute section.)

His music is amazing, i can't get enough of it. I hope it goes down well. You know what? I always think Tubb's the most "conventional" of our riders, but having looked at his skateboarding all day i've come to realise that this is bollocks. He's got ideas of his own and you might even see some things you've never seen before. I hope so.

I plan to tackle Pizzer's part tomorrow. Wish me luck. (only joking Pizzo!)
